Why partners join

You bring the crew. We handle everything else.

Your margin is in the labor and in quoting jobs fast enough to win them. What eats it alive is everything around the install — sizing the array, producing a plan set your AHJ will accept, and chasing interconnection paperwork across jurisdictions you've never worked in.

Our trade program takes exactly that off your plate. Send us the site details; we return an engineered, code-compliant kit and the permit-ready documentation to go with it — so you quote faster, take on more jobs, and move on to the next one while we field the design revisions.

  • Engineered kit design
  • Permit-ready plan sets
  • Interconnection paperwork
  • Exclusive access to tech team
  • Lifetime homeowner support
The division of labor

A complete system — not a pile of parts

Every trade kit ships as a complete, code-compliant system with permit-ready documentation. Here's who owns what, stage by stage.

You own it
  • Selling the job & setting the priceYour customer, your markup, your relationship.
  • Installation laborYour crew on the roof — with our tech line a phone call away.
We own it
  • System design & equipment selectionSized to the site with the industry's best-proven gear.
  • Engineering & permit-ready plan setCode-compliant documentation for your AHJ.
  • Incentive & interconnection paperworkWe prepare it; you submit under your name.
  • Procurement & logisticsNationwide shipping, next-day on critical parts.
  • Homeowner support after the jobFree lifetime support that transfers to your customer.
When your customer calls with a monitoring question two years from now, they call us — and that call reflects well on you instead of costing you an afternoon.
One program, two ways to win

Built around how you actually make money

Installers and homebuilders were asking us for the same things — better pricing, engineering they don't have to own, and a supplier who picks up the phone. One program now serves both.

Panels, inverters, and storage move fast. Our team tracks what's actually worth speccing, so you're not guessing — or getting stuck with yesterday's hardware.

Pricing that rewards volume

The more you build with us, the better your pricing gets. No formal rate card and no minimum order — you'll get a real number on a real project when we talk.

Coming 2027

A dedicated partner portal to review products, pricing, and your projects in one place is in the works for 2027. For now, a quick conversation gets you everything you need.

How to get started

From application to first kit in four steps

There's no lengthy vetting process and nothing to download. Getting set up looks like this:

  1. 1

    Reach out

Tell us who you are — your license or credential, your market, and the kind of projects you take on.

  2. 2

    Talk with a consultant

A quick call to confirm eligibility, understand your goals, and see if we're a good fit. Bring a real upcoming project and we'll price against it.

  3. 3

    Send your first project

Share the site details. We return an engineered kit spec, permit-ready documentation, and a firm price.

  4. 4

    Install and repeat

The kit ships to your warehouse or job site. You install, we back you up by phone, and your customer gets free lifetime support under your name.

Eligibility is simple. Prior PV installation experience, a licensed contractor / electrician / builder credential, or a background in industry distribution or procurement. One of the three is enough.

Let's talk about your business

There's no risk in a conversation.

Talk to a consultant, run a project or two, and see if the way we design and manage jobs fits how you work. If it does, your pricing only gets better as the relationship grows — and there's no commitment to find out.

  • No cost, no obligation — just a conversation with a real consultant
  • Try a project or two before you commit to anything
  • Better pricing the more we work together

Trade program FAQ

Common questions from installers & builders

The questions pros ask most before reaching out.

Hands-on, in-person training is available for partners local to our Fullerton, CA headquarters. For partners everywhere else, we provide remote onboarding, live webinars, a documentation library, and a support team on the line when you call — we don't send trainers to travel nationwide.

There isn't a separate program anymore — one trade program serves both. Installers and contractors use it to get engineered, permit-ready kits without owning the design work; homebuilders use it to add solar as a build option without staffing solar expertise in-house.

No. We work with partners on single-system orders and high-volume flow alike — pricing scales up with your order volume, not down for smaller ones.

Yes. Every trade kit ships with a complete, code-compliant design and permit-ready documentation, so you're not stamping plans or chasing an AHJ's requirements yourself.

Prior PV installation experience, a licensed contractor/electrician/builder credential, or a background in industry distribution or procurement.

Yes — nationwide shipping with next-day options for critical parts, delivered to your warehouse or the job site to match your schedule.

Homes with solar have been shown in third-party housing research to sell for a premium versus comparable homes without it — a relevant data point for builders deciding whether to offer it as a standard or optional upgrade.
